Opening Hearts
Cornerstone Kids
Childhood is fleeting. It is also wild, messy, and loud! With Cornerstone Kids, we seek to engage children where they are in their development and bring the story of Jesus to life. Through games, activities, crafts, songs, videos and stories, our volunteers share the story of God's amazing love and Jesus's great example for our lives.
Cornerstone Kids is for children ages 2-5 and grades K-5. Each group meets on Sunday mornings after worship.
MEET OUR CHILDREN'S MINISTRY LEADERSHIP TEAM
Nicole LaFerney
As a pediatric physical therapist, Nicole has a passion for children! She is passionate about teaching kids to grow and develop not only physically but also in their relationship with Christ.
Nicole spent several years on staff as the children's ministry coordinator at her home church. Additionally, she has served as a camp counselor at Kanakuk, a Christian sports camp in Branson, MO.
Nicole feels teaching kids about Jesus should always be fun, interactive, and hands-on.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys hanging out with her husband, Alex, and her daughter, Landry. She also enjoys all things Razorbacks!
Anna Hudson
Anna and her husband, Levi, have been a part of Cornerstone since they moved to NWA in 2013. Anna and Levi are grateful to be able to raise their daughters among fellow believers who recognize the importance of children in God’s Kingdom.
Anna is excited to be involved with Cornerstone Kids. She feels that it is so important for children to enjoy coming to church, learning about Jesus, and forming strong relationships with each other and adults in the congregation.
Anna became interested in teaching and working with children while she was a teenager. She helped her mother teach young children at the church where she grew up in Memphis. This helped her realize how a positive church experience in childhood can help lay a strong foundation for the rest of one’s life.
Anna hopes that her own children as well as all of the Cornerstone Kids realize how important they are to the entire Cornerstone family and that we are all able to help them grown in their faith.
